The Ringlet is a very common and widespread butterfly which can often be counted well into treble figures at some sites during their peak emergence time. Due to their abundance, they can be rather overlooked which is a shame as the Ringlet can look stunning, especially when freshly emerged. They do spend a lot of their time in the grasses but they will readily come to nectar. For more details on how to identify the commoner Browns please click here.
